Esibizione covers both a live performance (a concert, show, or display of skill) and an exhibition or demonstration. For art exhibitions, Italians more commonly use mostra, while esibizione tends toward live or athletic performances. The verb esibirsi (reflexive) means 'to perform' or 'to show off', and esibizionismo means exhibitionism.
