Usage Note
Figo is a colloquial adjective meaning 'cool', 'attractive', or 'great' (che macchina figa! — 'what a cool car!'). It is informal and common among younger speakers; in more conservative or formal contexts it may sound crude, as its literal origin is a vulgar anatomical term. The superlative fichissimo is common in spoken Italian. Feminine: figa; plural fighi/fighe.
Examples
"Quel ragazzo è proprio figo."
Natural Translation
That guy is really cool.
