Futurista refers especially to members of Italian Futurism (Futurismo), the early 20th-century avant-garde movement founded by Marinetti. It also serves as an adjective (manifesto futurista). Plural: i futuristi (m) / le futuriste (f). The movement celebrated speed, technology, and the rejection of tradition.
