Usage Note

Giuria is feminine and refers to a jury in both legal (la giuria popolare) and competitive settings (la giuria del festival). Unlike English, Italian courts rarely use jury trials — giuria appears far more in artistic/competition contexts than in law. The plural is le giurie.
