Usage Note

Gradi is the plural of grado and is used for temperature (dieci gradi = ten degrees), angles (novanta gradi = ninety degrees), and academic/military ranks (gradi militari = military ranks). The singular grado also appears in the expression di primo grado (first degree) and essere in grado di ('to be able to').
