incollare

to glue, to paste

verb een-kohl-LAH-reh Rare

Usage Note

Incollare uses avere as its auxiliary: ho incollato ('I glued'). In digital contexts it also means 'to paste' (as in copy-paste: copia e incolla). Do not confuse with incollare used reflexively: incollarsi can mean to become stuck or glued to something (including a screen).

Examples

"Ho incollato i pezzi rotti del vaso."

Natural Translation

I glued the broken pieces of the vase back together.
