inesistente

non-existent

adjective ee-neh-zees-TEN-teh Rare

Also means

absent, negligible

Usage Note

Inesistente is a strong negation — something that simply does not exist or is entirely absent. In colloquial Italian it is often used hyperbolically: il servizio è praticamente inesistente (the service is practically non-existent). It is gender-common, with one form for masculine and feminine singular (inesistente), pluralising to inesistenti.

Examples

"Le prove a suo carico erano praticamente inesistenti."

Natural Translation

The evidence against him was practically non-existent.
