Ingerenza denotes unwanted interference in the affairs of another party — a state, organisation, or person. In international relations, ingerenza umanitaria (humanitarian intervention) is a contested legal concept. The g before e is soft ('j'): in-jeh-REN-tsah. The related verb is ingerirsi (to meddle, reflexive).
