Irrealizzato describes a project, ambition, or potential that was never brought to completion: un sogno irrealizzato ('an unfulfilled dream'). It should be distinguished from irreale ('unreal, surreal') which refers to something not real in nature. The word is used in both personal and professional contexts and agrees in gender and number normally.
