Narciso is both the flower (daffodil/narcissus) and, figuratively, a vain person obsessed with their own appearance — è un vero narciso (he is a real narcissist). The psychological term is narcisismo. The flower blooms in early spring and is common in Italian gardens and alpine meadows.
