Usage Note
Neve is feminine and typically invariable as a mass noun. The verb 'to snow' is nevicare (an impersonal verb: nevica, it is snowing). A common culinary use is montare a neve (to beat egg whites to stiff peaks, literally 'to mount to snow'). Nevoso means 'snowy' and nevicata is a snowfall.
