Ostinazione describes dogged persistence that others view as unreasonable. It is always feminine and used in the singular; the plural ostinazioni is rare. The related adjective is ostinato (stubborn), also familiar from music as a recurring bass line (basso ostinato). Slightly stronger and more negative than tenacia (tenacity).
