Usage Note
Passività is invariable in the plural (like all -tà nouns). In accounting it means 'liabilities' — the debts of a business — and contrasts with attività ('assets'). In a psychological sense it means 'passiveness' or 'inertia.' The accounting plural le passività (liabilities) is very common in financial Italian.
