Populismo is a masculine noun used almost exclusively in political discourse. The related adjective is populista (invariable for gender: un leader populista, una tendenza populista), and the noun for a person is also populista (m/f). Do not confuse with popolare (popular/of the people), which is a broader, less charged adjective.
