Portuale is the relational adjective for porto ('port'). It commonly appears in lavoratore portuale ('dock worker, longshoreman') and attività portuale ('port activity'). As a noun, un portuale (masculine) means a dock worker; the plural i portuali refers to dock workers as a group.
