Previsto is the past participle of prevedere used adjectivally. It commonly appears in official language: entro i termini previsti (within the planned deadlines), come previsto dalla legge (as provided for by law). The opposite is imprevisto ('unforeseen'; as a noun l'imprevisto means 'an unexpected event'). The form is regular: previsto/prevista/previsti/previste.
