Usage Note
Promettente is a present-participial adjective that functions like an ordinary adjective: it agrees in number but not gender (un giovane promettente / una giovane promettente, plural promettenti). It is commonly used for young talent (un calciatore promettente = a promising footballer) and for business or weather prospects.
