Usage Note
Puzzle is masculine and invariable: il puzzle, i puzzle. It is an anglicism that has fully replaced the older Italian term rompicapo for jigsaw puzzles. The word also covers logic puzzles in general. Invariable loanwords ending in a consonant are common in Italian (sport, film, bar).
