Usage Note
Qualunquismo names the ideology or cultural attitude associated with qualunquista — a cynical dismissal of political parties and civic duty in favour of vague populism or indifference. It originates from the post-war Uomo Qualunque movement but is now used as a general term of criticism. Closely related to antipolitica but with a more specific cultural connotation in Italy.
