Usage Note
Ragazzo means 'boy' or 'young man', and in context also 'boyfriend' (il mio ragazzo = 'my boyfriend'). The feminine form is ragazza ('girl', 'girlfriend'). The plural ragazzi is used generically to address a mixed group: Ciao, ragazzi! ('Hey, guys!'). It is informal and warm in register.
