Usage Note
Rapidità is feminine and, like all Italian nouns ending in an accented -tà, is invariable in the plural: la rapidità / le rapidità. It derives from rapido ('fast') and is slightly more formal than velocità. The accent on the final syllable signals stress there — a pattern learners must remember for all -tà nouns.
Examples
"Hanno risolto il problema con grande rapidità."
Natural Translation
They solved the problem with great speed.
