Usage Note
Rassicurare means to put someone's mind at rest. It is frequently used reflexively — rassicurarsi (to reassure oneself, to make sure): rassicurati, va tutto bene (don't worry, everything is fine). It takes avere in compound tenses when transitive: l'ha rassicurata (he reassured her). The related adjective is rassicurante (reassuring).
