Ricorrenza is broader than anniversario: it covers any date that comes around again — a saint's day, a national commemoration, or a personal milestone. Unlike anniversario, which is almost always celebratory, ricorrenza is neutral and often used for solemn dates. The plural is regular: ricorrenze.
