Usage Note
Rientrante is the present participle of rientrare used as an adjective or relative clause substitute in formal Italian. Le spese rientranti nel budget means expenses falling within the budget. In geometry, an angolo rientrante is a reflex (re-entrant) angle. It is common in bureaucratic and legal prose, where Italian uses participial adjectives where English would use a relative clause.
Examples
"I costi rientranti nel contratto sono coperti."
Natural Translation
The costs falling within the contract are covered.
