Also means
soothing
Usage Note
Rilassante is the present participle of rilassare used as an adjective. It agrees in number but not gender (un bagno rilassante, una musica rilassante, momenti rilassanti). It is interchangeable with distensivo in some contexts but slightly warmer in register. Do not confuse with rilassato (relaxed — describing a person's state) vs rilassante (that which causes relaxation).
Examples
"Un bagno caldo è molto rilassante dopo una lunga giornata."
Natural Translation
A hot bath is very relaxing after a long day.
