Usage Note
Ritrovamento refers to the act of finding something previously lost, or the object found — used heavily in archaeology and police contexts (il ritrovamento di reperti antichi, 'the discovery of ancient artifacts'). Not to be confused with ritrovare (the verb, to find again/rediscover).
Examples
"Il ritrovamento del corpo ha chiarito il caso."
Natural Translation
The discovery of the body clarified the case.
