Sacca can be a large soft bag (sacca da viaggio = travel bag) or a figurative 'pocket' of something, as in sacca d'aria (air pocket) or sacca di resistenza (pocket of resistance). Do not confuse with sacco (m), which is a sack or large bag; sacca (f) often implies a more structured or carried bag. The plural is sacche.
