Usage Note
Sanguigno most commonly appears in the compound gruppo sanguigno (blood group) and pressione sanguigna (blood pressure). As a standalone adjective it can also describe a hot-tempered or ruddy-complexioned person (un tipo sanguigno). Do not confuse with sanguinoso (bloody, gory).
