Sarcasmo is the standard Italian word for sarcasm, used in both literary analysis and everyday speech: parlare con sarcasmo ('to speak sarcastically'). The adjectival form is sarcastico. Note that Italian sarcasmo does not carry the same frequency of use as English 'sarcasm' in casual conversation — ironia (irony) is often preferred.
