Schiuma covers natural foam (sea foam, beer froth, shaving foam) and industrial/chemical foam. Schiuma da barba is shaving foam; schiuma di mare (sea foam) is also the name of meerschaum (the mineral). The verb is schiumare (to foam, to froth). The plural schiume is regular but rarely needed.
