Usage Note
Selfia is an Italian feminised variant of the English selfie, treated as feminine (una selfia). However, the more common Italian form is un selfie (masculine, invariable), so selfia appears mainly in informal or humorous writing. Learners will more often encounter selfie unchanged. Plural: invariable selfia or selfie.
Examples
"Ha fatto una selfia davanti alla fontana."
Natural Translation
She took a selfie in front of the fountain.
Literal Translation
She-has made a selfie in-front-of the fountain
