Usage Note
Solforico is almost exclusively used in the compound acido solforico (sulfuric acid, H₂SO₄), one of the most industrially important chemicals. It should not be confused with solforoso (acido solforoso = sulfurous acid, H₂SO₃), which is a weaker, less oxidized acid.
