Also means

to exhaust

Usage Note

Stancare means to tire someone out; the reflexive stancarsi means to get tired oneself. It takes avere as its auxiliary in non-reflexive use. The common adjective stanco (tired) shares the same root. The phrase mi stanco facilmente (I get tired easily) illustrates the reflexive construction learners often need.

Examples

"Quel lavoro mi ha stancato molto."

Literal Translation

That work me has tired a-lot.
