Summit is an English loanword used in Italian journalism and politics to refer to a high-level diplomatic or political meeting (summit del G7, summit internazionale). It is invariable and masculine. In everyday Italian, vertice (m) is the more traditional equivalent, though summit is ubiquitous in press and broadcast media.
