Tranche is an invariable French borrowing — the plural is also tranche (no -s). It is feminine (la prima tranche) and appears almost exclusively in economic and financial contexts to mean a scheduled portion of a loan, bond issue, or payment. Do not confuse with fetta (a literal food slice).
