Trimestrale functions as both adjective (una riunione trimestrale, a quarterly meeting) and noun (il trimestrale, a quarterly report or publication). The noun is masculine when referring to a report or journal. It does not change for gender as an adjective and pluralises with -i: i trimestrali.
