Usage Note

Virtuale is used both in the computing sense (realtà virtuale, virtual reality) and in the broader sense of 'potential' or 'effective in practice but not formally recognized' (un accordo virtuale — a de facto agreement). It is invariable for gender (un incontro virtuale / una riunione virtuale).
