Ciglio has an irregular gender-switching plural: le ciglia (the eyelashes, feminine plural). In a different sense it means the edge or brim of something — sul ciglio della strada (on the roadside), sul ciglio del burrone (on the edge of the ravine). The two senses share the same singular form.
