Usage Note

Civico describes things belonging to or befitting a citizen or municipality: senso civico ('civic spirit', i.e. public-mindedness), numero civico ('house number', literally 'civic number'). The phrase senso civico is frequently used when criticising or praising citizens' public behaviour.
