Usage Note
Coperta (plural coperte) primarily means a blanket or bedcover. It also means the deck of a ship (coperta della nave) and the cover/jacket of a book in some regional usage. Do not confuse with copertina (diminutive), which specifically means a book cover, magazine cover, or album cover. Sotto le coperte means 'under the covers'.
