Coscia refers to the human thigh (la coscia destra, the right thigh) and also to the thigh/drumstick cut of poultry in cooking (coscia di pollo). The plural is cosce, following the -ia → -e pattern. Not to be confused with il ginocchio (knee) or la gamba (leg below the thigh).
