Usage Note
Cucinare takes avere as its auxiliary. It is a broad verb covering all cooking activities; la cucina (the noun) means both 'kitchen' and 'cuisine'. A common phrase is sai cucinare? ('can you cook?'). To say someone is a good cook, say cucina bene rather than using a separate noun.
Examples
"Mi piace cucinare la pasta fresca."
Natural Translation
I like cooking fresh pasta.

To-me pleases to-cook the pasta fresh
