Also means
objective
Usage Note
Finalità is an invariable noun (plural also finalità, like città). It is a formal or bureaucratic term meaning 'purpose' or 'aim' — more abstract and official than scopo (purpose, goal) or obiettivo (objective). You will find it frequently in legal texts, mission statements, and official documents: 'le finalità del progetto' (the objectives of the project). It does NOT mean 'finality' in the English sense of irrevocability.
Examples
"Le finalità del programma sono state chiarite."
Natural Translation
