Usage Note

Gradito is the past participle of gradire (to appreciate), used adjectivally in formal and polite registers. Gradito is common in formal letters: in attesa di una Sua gradita risposta ('awaiting your kind reply'). The negative non gradito means 'unwelcome' or 'persona non grata'.
