Also means
earnings, income
Usage Note
Guadagno refers to financial gain or earnings: il guadagno netto = net profit. The corresponding verb is guadagnare. Colloquially guadagnare can mean 'to earn' (a wage) and the noun echoes that: il mio guadagno mensile = my monthly earnings. Do not confuse with profitto, which leans more toward business profit.
Examples
"Il guadagno di quest'anno è aumentato."
Natural Translation
This year's profit has increased.
