Inesperienza is the direct antonym of esperienza (experience), formed with the negative prefix in-. It denotes a lack of practical knowledge or skill. It is always feminine and typically singular. A common collocation is per inesperienza (out of inexperience) or dovuta a inesperienza (due to inexperience). Contrast inesperto (inexperienced, adjective) and novizio (novice, noun).
