Usage Note

Intascare literally means to put something into one's pocket (tasca), but it is almost always used figuratively for pocketing money, often with a connotation of keeping it illicitly or without effort. It takes avere as auxiliary. Ha intascato i soldi senza fare nulla ('He pocketed the money without doing anything').
