Usage Note

Intenzionato is always followed by the preposition a + infinitive: sono intenzionato a partire = 'I intend to leave.' It describes a firm personal intention and is slightly more formal than voglio. The feminine is intenzionata. Note that the English word 'intentioned' in 'well-intentioned' = ben intenzionato.
