Invalidità is invariable in the plural (all -tà nouns). It refers to a permanent physical or legal incapacity: invalidità civile ('civilian disability,' giving entitlement to state benefits) and invalidità di un atto ('invalidity of a legal act'). In everyday usage it most often means a recognized disability. The related adjective is invalido/a.
