Martedì is invariable — the form does not change in the plural (i martedì). In Italian, days of the week are masculine and are written lowercase. Il martedì (with definite article) means 'on Tuesdays (habitually)', while bare martedì means 'this Tuesday' or a specific Tuesday.

Examples
